My card doesn't work. Why?

Some common reasons for why your card doesn't work could include:

1. All new or renewed First Cards are sent inactive for to security reasons. This means the card needs to be activated in First Card app before it is taken into use. Please refer to our card activation instructions for further guidance.

2. Could the card have exceed the limit? Certain restrictions pertaining card usage may also apply, such as gambling. Please contact us if you suspect an issue like this.

4. Could the card have expired? Please check the validity of your card.

5. None of the above? Please get in touch with us, you can find our local customer support numbers in the grey column further down the page.

Why does my card not work abroad?

It may be due to the settings of your card. In First Card app you can adjust your geo-blocking settings in real time (only available in Finland and Sweden at the moment). Please get in touch with us if you live in Denmark or Norway or suspect something else is amiss, you can find our local customer support numbers in the grey column further down the page.
