How do I pay online without MitID?
If you do not have the possibility to get MitID, you can confirm your payment by using your eCom password (personal password) together with a One-time password that you receive by SMS. Cardholders without a Danish CPR-number will receive an eCom password (personal password) code via secure email - if you have not received an eCom password (personal passwords), please contact First Card customer service on +45 70 20 63 09.
How to confirm your payment with eCom password + One-time password via SMS
- Once you have entered your card information, a new window will open: Click the button called "SMS+code".
- A new window will pop up, asking you to insert your credentials: your eCom password which is your personal password as well as the One-time password which you receive by SMS.
In the SMS you can see the purchase amount, the merchant, and the one-time password for the purchase you are about to approve. You must make sure that the information in the SMS correlates to the purchase details. If this is not the case, do not enter the passwords or confirm the payment. You must never share your passwords with anyone.
Once you have inserted the passwords and verified all the details, click “confirm” to confirm the payment.
I am not a Danish citizen - can I get MitID?
You do not need to be a Danish national to obtain MitID, but you must have a CPR-number (SSN) and a valid ID. Go to mitid.dk for further information.
